Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Menorah #488

A significant and imposing sterling silver menorah created by Harald Nielsen for Georg Jensen in 1926 holds prominence. Functioning as a temple menorah, it embodies the concept of creation in seven days, with the central light signifying the Sabbath. This art deco masterpiece showcases meticulous hand hammering and a distinctive seven-branch design with hand-chased linear patterns. The three-tiered foliate arrangement of the sconces, supported by a blossom-like design, adds an exquisite touch.

The centerpiece boasts a robust column resembling a large floral bud, adorned with bud and silver bead details on both ends. The substantial stepped base exhibits expert hand hammering and chasing. Crafted with precision in Denmark at the renowned Georg Jensen, this menorah reflects months of dedicated artistry.
