Georg Jensen Sterling Silver “Louvre” Bowl 19B

This early vintage sterling silver bowl by Georg Jensen features design #19B, created in 1912. Known as the Louvre bowl, it was acquired by the Louvre museum in Paris in 1914 for their permanent collection. The bowl exhibits a slightly hammered texture with hand-chased etching on the rim, reminiscent of early Viking artistry. The center section showcases a motif of leaves and floral patterns. This is the larger B model.
