Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Large Tazza #574

An early and large sterling silver tazza, design #574, by Johan Rohde, created in 1924. This rare and highly sought-after piece features a spacious, round bowl supported by an elegant column adorned with a leaf and ball motif. The tiered base ensures the piece remains stable. The design reflects Rohde’s gradual transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco, blending elements from both periods. Unlike other tazzas, which could include cast parts for mass production, this piece was entirely handcrafted, making it far rarer than its counterparts.
