A vintage Georg Jensen Fish Platter #1026, designed by Henning Koppel in 1954. This iconic piece, part of the collection at The Danish Design Museum (formerly Kunstindustrimuseet), showcases Koppel’s remarkable contribution to Danish design.

This two-piece covered fish platter is a masterpiece of form, with no additional ornamentation beyond its sculptural shape. The clean, organic lines highlight its reflective surface, while the turned-up ends, resembling the mouth of a cod, serve as functional handles for lifting the cover. Koppel, who prioritized aesthetics over strict functionalism, designed this piece to be a work of art in itself.
