Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Grape Pitcher 407b

An early hand raised sterling silver Georg Jensen grape pitcher, design #407b by Georg Jensen from 1925. Its rounded base gracefully ascends to a cluster of grapes encircling the pitcher, adorned with an oxidized, hand-chased floral motif. The pitcher’s substantial body is designed to hold a generous amount of liquid, while its lip and rim feature an applied, hand-turned edge that seamlessly flows into the handle. The handle itself is meticulously carved from thick ebony wood, complemented by a single large grape cluster beneath it. This decorative pitcher is part of a series designed to harmonize with other grape-themed pieces by Jensen.
