A large and important Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Fish Platter and Cover, Design #335C, Designed by Johan Rohde, circa 1919.

Of oval form, the platter with shell-form handles and fitted with a shell-handled mazarine pierced with a diaper pattern and centered by a fish. The domed cover is surmounted by an exquisite finial composed of two opposing fish with shells and grapes, a ring handle at the center. The finial is framed by a large oval hand-chased scalloped border, reflecting the exceptional craftsmanship characteristic of Rohde’s early designs for Georg Jensen. Both the platter, mazarine and cover are marked with vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks used between 1945 and 1977.
