Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Compote 574c
A rare and charming Georg Jensen sterling silver compote, design #574C by Johan Rohde, introduced in 1924. This petite and highly decorative piece beautifully illustrates the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco design.
The hand-raised circular bowl is supported by an openwork stem composed of stylized leaves and berry clusters, richly enhanced with hand-chased details. The stepped circular foot features an oxidized rim, providing a striking contrast to the polished silver and emphasizing the architectural quality of the design.
Elegant in scale yet visually impressive, this uncommon compote is ideal for serving chocolates or candies, or as a decorative display piece.
