Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Clock 596

A vintage sterling silver Georg Jensen clock, design no. 596 by Johan Rohde, featuring elegant decorative scrolls and mounted on its original granite base. The clock is accompanied by its original sterling silver key and is in exceptionally fine condition for its age.

The surface displays a subtle hand-hammered finish throughout. The round clock face features a sterling silver dial with matching silver hands, and the entire clock housing is crafted in solid sterling silver. The clock rests on a Nordic-inspired base adorned with scroll motifs and berry details. The sides of the base are finely hand-chased with leaves and floral designs, while the lower portion of the square base showcases Viking or Nordic-inspired engraved patterns.

The clock retains its original seven-day, hand-wound mechanical movement. The back of the clock houses the original key, featuring Johan Rohde’s well-known acorn-inspired design, along with an additional sterling silver dial for time adjustment.

The clock sits on its original black granite base. Two extremely small indentations are present on the top of the right front and back right side granite, consistent with age and use. Overall, the piece remains in excellent vintage condition.
