Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Candlesticks #492

A pair of  rare exquisite and early Danish Georg Jensen candlesticks, known for their rarity. Designed by Harald Nielsen in 1926, these candlesticks bear design number 492. Each candleholder features a round raised base, adorned with a cylinder topped with a row of delicate beads. The stem gracefully curves, displaying its elegant form. Atop the stem, you’ll find a cluster of four grapes, separated by columns of similar design. What sets these candlesticks apart is the unique hollowness of the sconces, demonstrating the incredible craftsmanship involved in their creation. These candlesticks embody a rare transition period between art nouveau and art deco styles, showcasing elements of both design movements. They truly encapsulate the artistic spirit of their time.

  • Measurements: 5 1/2″ (14 cm) high. The base measures 3 1/4″ in diameter.
