Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Candelabrum 1097
A pair of vintage Mid-Century sterling silver candelabra by Georg Jensen, design #1097 by Henning Koppel in 1961. Crafted by hand, it is a hollow, low candelabrum with two opposing arms. The base adopts a ‘Squirtle’ shape, inspired by the super ellipse which blends aspects of both a circle and a square.
Each arm of each candelabrum seamlessly extends from the base, showcasing a continuous motion and form. The sleek and elegant design poses a significant challenge in fabrication. Each sconce is equipped with a sterling silver pin or nail to securely hold a candlestick in place.
