Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Candelabra 278

A pair of Art Deco sterling silver candelabra by Georg Jensen, design #278 by Harald Nielsen, circa 1928. Harald Nielsen skillfully transforms the timeless Georg Jensen floral motif into the more streamlined Art Deco design language. The candelabra features a hand-hammered round foot with an elevated stand base, attached to a two-light structure. At the base and connecting the two candelabra, there are bead and floral decorations, showcasing Nielsen’s meticulous craftsmanship. Each element is securely set on a pair of silver beads with a floral motif.

Dimensions: They stand at a height of 6 1/4″, with a width of 7½”, and the base has a diameter of 4 1/4″ (15.5cm, 19.3cm, 10.8cm).

  • Weight: 1004 grams (35.41 oz)
  • Hallmarks: Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1945-1977, sterling Denmark #278.

*These candelabra originated from a Florida estate and exhibit no signs of use, having been stored for decades.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
