Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Candelabra 244

A pair of sterling silver Georg Jensen candelabra, design #244, introduced in 1918. These impressive two arm candelabra are richly decorated with hand chased leaves and berries, crowned by a striking fir cone finial that inspired their well known name, the “Fir Cone” candelabra. The oxidized center column creates a wonderful sense of depth and dimension, enhancing the sculptural quality of the design.

The openwork floral centerpiece is supported by a tiered circular foot, while the abundance of intricate hand chasing and exceptional craftsmanship reflects the work of a highly skilled silversmith. Heavy and substantial in form, these candelabra embody a distinctly Nordic aesthetic with a strong artistic presence.
