Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Box #367

A rare antique Danish sterling silver Georg Jensen box with silver divider, design #367 by Georg Jensen from circa 1918. A very early heavy hand hammered art nouveau style box hand crafted at the Georg Jensen silversmith Denmark. There is an enormous amount of hand chasing and craftsmanship involved in this piece. A square hinged covered box with a large floral motive, the top outside edge surrounded with large silver oblong beads. A divider is in the center of this box, which was most likely designed as a jewelry box. Boxes are very hard to fabricate, only a senior silversmith would have made this piece.
