Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Box 1142 by Soren Georg Jensen

A sterling silver Georg Jensen vessel, design #1142A by Søren Georg Jensen from 1965. This sculptural cylindrical form reflects Søren Georg Jensen’s clean, modernist approach to silver design, with a subtle stepped profile that gives the piece a strong architectural quality.

Originally intended most likely as a cigarette holder, the vessel is highly versatile and can also be used as a small vase, desk accessory, or decorative canister. The design was produced both with and without a lid. This example is the open version without a lid. Its compact proportions and understated form make it an elegant example of Danish modern silver from the 1960s.

Dimensions: Measures 2 1/2″ high x 1 5/8″ in diameter.
Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks used from 1945–1977, indicating this example was made between 1965 and 1977.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
