Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Box 1035

An exquisite Georg Jensen sterling silver box, design #1035 by Sigvard Bernadotte in 1953.  Its hinged construction is not just aesthetically pleasing but also functional. The box’s base is ingeniously structured, with opposing walls higher than the front and back, ensuring the lid securely rests on the outer edges. The lid, featuring a rectangular shape, presents angled edges that not only cover the box’s front but also serve as a design element. Inside, the box is lined with mahogany wood, enveloping both the base and side walls. Its rarity is unparalleled, with only a handful ever produce, a testament to the intricacy of its design and manufacturing process.
