Hollowware
Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Blossom Tea and Coffee Service 2
A vintage Georg Jensen Blossom tea and coffee service crafted in sterling silver, featuring ivory handles and designed by Georg Jensen himself in 1905 (Design #2). This Blossom tea service holds the distinction of being Georg Jensen’s inaugural hollowware design. Comprising a four-piece tea set meticulously handcrafted in Denmark, these items have seen minimal use.
The teapot boasts a distinctive design, resting on three organic frog-like feet. Its form is a hand-spun, rounded shape with a beveled body and an elegant spout, resembling an elephant’s trunk. The highlight of the design is the hand-chased floral motif lid, featuring a large blossom or magnolia bud connected with a strand of silver beads. The coffee pot, with a more bean-shaped form and greater height, mirrors the same exquisite work and design.
The set includes a sugar bowl with a removable lid and a creamer featuring an elongated spout, all showcasing the iconic design that contributed to Georg Jensen’s global success.
