Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Blossom Tea and Coffee Service 2

An antique Georg Jensen “Blossom” tea and coffee service in sterling silver, designed by Georg Jensen in 1905 (Design Nos. 2 and 100).
This was Jensen’s first hollowware design. The four-piece set was handmade in Denmark, shows very light use, and, as early examples, displays the characteristic signs of handcraftsmanship. Each piece features ivory handles and the distinctive Blossom floral motif.

The teapot stands on three organic, sculptural feet and has a rounded, hand-spun body with a curved spout. Its lid is decorated with the classic Blossom flower bud and silver beading. The coffee pot has a taller, bean-shaped form but follows the same design elements. The set also includes a sugar bowl with a removable lid and a creamer with an elongated spout.
