Hollowware
Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Bernadotte Pitcher 856A
An early and scarce Georg Jensen sterling silver pitcher #856A, designed by Sigvard Bernadotte in 1938. This bean-shaped pitcher features twenty-two column sections, with a hollow handle boasting a single linear beveled section seamlessly attached to the elegant spout, rendering the handle and spout as a continuous piece. The presence of this vintage hallmark is exceptionally rare, marking the first instance we’ve encountered this piece with such authenticity. Notably, the construction of this piece differs significantly from its contemporary counterparts; the period piece showcases 22 intricately hand-chased lines compared to the 20 lines on newer productions. Furthermore, its origin from the era of its design enhances its investment value.
