Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Basket 235A

A small Georg Jensen sterling silver decorative basket, design #235A by Georg Jensen, introduced in 1917. This elegant and highly decorative piece is raised on a delicate pedestal stem that grows organically from stylized floral feet, exemplifying Georg Jensen’s celebrated Art Nouveau aesthetic. The oval boat-shaped basket is adorned with opposing floral buds and surmounted by a graceful domed handle, creating a sculptural form that is both refined and functional.

Perfect for serving small candies or chocolates, this charming basket also makes an attractive decorative accent for the home. The intricate hand-chased details and organic floral motifs showcase the exceptional craftsmanship of Georg Jensen’s early silversmiths.
