Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Art Deco Mayan Bowl #765

A rare early sterling silver Georg Jensen Art Deco centerpiece bowl, design #765 by Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen from circa 1937. A footed thick rimmed bowl with a round footed base. The Mayan design rim would have been hand chased, a great deal of time would have been used to concur this task. There are numerous alternating pyramid like designs, with fine oxidized detail.

Dimensions: Measures 11″ in diameter and 2 5/8″ in height (28cm, 6,5cm).

Weight: 39oz. (1,106g).

Hallmarks: early Georg Jensen hallmark from 1933-1944, “Sterling Denmark 765”.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
