Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Art Deco Jar/bucket 796

A rare and heavy vintage sterling silver Georg Jensen Art Deco cookie jar/Ice bucket, design #796 by Jorgen Jensen in1936. The body is a cylinder form punctuated with hand chased horizontal lines, likewise the lid and finial feature horizontal lines. The piece stands on three feet, with a “Z” shaped profile. Originally designed as a tobacco jar this extremely elegant art deco large lidded bucket can be used as a ice bucket or cookie jar.

Dimensions:

• Measures 8 5/8″ in height and has a diameter of 6 1/4″ (21.9, 15.9cm).
• Weighs 58,73 oz (1,665g).
• Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1945-1977.
