Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Art Deco Bowl 873 Malinowski

An early Georg Jensen sterling silver Art Deco bowl, design #873 by Arno Malinowski from 1938. This elegant conical-shaped bowl features a finely hand-turned rim and rests upon a circular tiered pedestal base. The bowl is supported by six stylized snail-form mounts, each accented with a single applied silver bead, both securing the bowl and adding a distinctive decorative element.

An exceptionally rare piece, this is the only example we have ever handled. Designed in 1938, this bowl is among the earliest produced examples, bearing the 1933–1944 Georg Jensen hallmarks, indicating it was crafted between 1938 and 1944.

Specifications:

  • Measurements: 3 5/8″ (10 cm) tall x 6″ (15 cm) diameter at the top of the bowl.
  • Weight: 277 grams (9.77 oz)
  • Hallmarks: 1933–1944 Georg Jensen hallmarks, sterling Denmark, #873 AM (Arno Malinowski).

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
