Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Art Deco Berry Spoon 13

An exceptional extra-large and very rare early Georg Jensen Art Deco berry spoon, design no. 13 by Harald Nielsen. This striking piece displays several elements reminiscent of Nielsen’s iconic Pyramid pattern, showcasing the designer’s distinctive geometric aesthetic.

The spoon features a sleek, hand-turned handle that flows elegantly into an oval, pierced bowl with finely executed ornamentation. The reverse is equally impressive, adorned with two prominent bulbous forms set on elongated stems—an unusual and sculptural detail that gives the piece a presence more akin to hollowware than flatware.

The level of craftsmanship is extraordinary, reflecting the meticulous handwork characteristic of early Georg Jensen production. Having handled hundreds of ornamental serving pieces over the years, we consider this example to be among the finest we have encountered. It comes from a private estate.
