A very rare iron letter opener with sterling silver inlay, designed by Gundorph Albertus in 1940 for Georg Jensen. These distinctive pieces combining iron and silver were produced during World War II, when silver was scarce.

This example is a large letter opener featuring floral silver inlay along the blade and two opposing strands of silver beads along the handle, showcasing Albertus’s refined craftsmanship and balanced design.
