Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Acanthus Flat Server With Horn 206

A Georg Jensen flat server with silver handle and horn server, item 206 in the Acanthus pattern, design #180 by Johan Rohde from 1917. This type of server with horn was used either for heat insulation when serving (e.g.) hot pastries/pies, for serving acidic foods such as tomatoes or serving fried eggs. Later versions were fitted with stainless steel instead of horn.

Dimensions: Measures 8″ (20cm).

Hallmarks: Early 1922 Three Towers hallmark and Georg Jensen hallmarks for that period, 830s.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
