Georg Jensen Sigvard Bernadotte Sterling Silver Vase No. 1218

A large Georg Jensen sterling silver vase, design No. 1218 by Sigvard Bernadotte, introduced circa 1938. This striking piece reflects the refined Art Deco aesthetic that Bernadotte brought to Georg Jensen’s design tradition.

The vase is of cylindrical form, rising from a rounded base and gently widening toward the top to create a generous opening suitable for a full bouquet of flowers. The applied rim is decorated with an Egyptian-inspired Art Deco motif, a distinctive geometric pattern that adds architectural character while remaining elegant and understated.

With its clean lines and balanced proportions, the vase exemplifies the sophisticated modernism of Bernadotte’s work for Georg Jensen.
