Georg Jensen Pyramid Sterling Silver Oil and Vinegar Cruet 791
A highly uncommon Georg Jensen sterling silver and crystal Pyramid Art Deco cruet set, designated as design #791 by Harald Nielsen in 1933. The cruet set features an oval-shaped base with meticulously crafted indentations designed to secure the bottles. The gracefully designed Art Deco handles are attached both to the base and the top oval support, equipped with two openings to accommodate the cruet bottles. The substantial crystal bottles are original, and what sets the bottle stoppers apart is their unique construction – entirely crafted from silver and hollow. This distinctive feature indicates that they were meticulously handmade rather than casted. Only a limited number of these sets were ever produced, making it a genuine collector’s item.
Dimensions:
- Oval base: 6 1/2″ (17cm) x 2 7/8″ (7cm)
- Bottles with stoppers: 6 1/4″ (15.5cm)
- Weight, including cruet bottles: 528 grams (18.62 oz.)
- Hallmarks: The earliest possible hallmarks dating back to the period of design, spanning from 1933 to 1944.
Condition: The set remains in its original and excellent condition, except for a small chip on the lip of one of the bottles. Importantly, this chip is discreetly hidden when the stopper is in place and does not affect the functionality of the set.
