Georg Jensen Pyramid Crystal Decanter with Sterling Silver Stopper by Harald Nielsen
Georg Jensen Pyramid Decanter with Sterling Silver Stopper – Design #206 by Harald Nielsen (c. 1935)
This vintage crystal decanter with sterling silver stopper is an example of Georg Jensen’s Pyramid pattern, designed by Harald Nielsen around 1935 (design no. 206).
Crafted from heavy, hand-etched crystal, the decanter remains in unused, pristine condition—an increasingly rare find. It is topped with a sterling silver stopper that perfectly exemplifies Nielsen’s signature Pyramid aesthetic: a rounded ball finial set above two graduated, stepped rings, separated by a contrasting band of oxidized silver. The entire stopper is constructed as a single, unified piece, offering both sculptural integrity and elegant functionality.
This piece captures the harmonious balance between form and ornamentation that defines Harald Nielsen designs. Its blend of architectural geometry and sleek minimalism makes it not only a beautiful object, but a collectible representation of Danish art deco design.
