Georg Jensen Parallel Dinner Fork 012A

Sterling silver Georg Jensen dinner fork, item 012A in the Parallel pattern, design #25 by Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen from 1931.
Measures 7″ (17.7cm) in length.
Post 1944 Georg Jensen hallmark.

The Parallel pattern is almost unique among Georg Jensen flatware designs, in that it has variations in the design of the forks and spoons.
There were three types of fork (A, B and C); A had the same shape as a regular fork, B was a bit rounder with slightly shorter prongs and C was rounder again and with even shorter prongs.
There were two types of spoon (A & B); A has the same shape as a regular spoon, B has a reversed bowl. This means that the B model spoon was rounder at the end and more slender towards the handle.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
