Georg Jensen Pair of Wine Coasters 141

A rare and exquisite set comprising a pair of Georg Jensen sterling silver bottle decanter wine coasters, showcasing design #141 by Johan Rohde dating back to 1917. These circular wine coasters feature an intricate openwork motif adorned with floral, bird, and berry elements. The base is crafted from carved mahogany wood. Both coasters boast a hand-chased etched design that harmonizes with the glass decanters accompanying them. Although the glass decanters lack specific markings, they appear to be thoughtfully designed by Rohde, aligning with the coaster’s aesthetic, and originating from the same period. The hallmarks on the coasters align with the period of their design, suggesting they are among the earliest examples created in this design.
