Georg Jensen Pair of Monumental Sterling Silver Candleabra #562
a remarkable pair of monumental, Fine and Rare Georg Jensen Silver Five-Light Candelabra, designed by Georg Jensen in 1926. Resting on a thick octagonal shape base with subtle hammering marks. The vase-shaped hand hammered stem, adorned with intricate openwork foliage, imparts a sense of nature’s beauty, bringing the outdoors inside. Rising from this base are five graceful, leaf-capped scroll branches, each poised to bear the warm glow of candlelight. The urn-form sockets, each detachable and equipped with wax pans for practicality, harmonize perfectly with the overall design.
At the heart of each candelabrum stands an openwork central standard adorned with delicate leaves and grapes, further emphasizing the natural and botanical motifs that are hallmarks of Jensen’s design philosophy. The top has a large bulb, decorated with the same leave and grape design as the center.
Elegance, artistry, and a deep respect for nature’s beauty converge in these candelabra, making them not only functional but also works of art that elevate the atmosphere of any space they grace. Acquiring this pair of Georg Jensen candelabra means possessing a rare and exceptional piece of silver craftsmanship, and history.
