Georg Jensen Monumental Sterling Silver Candelabra #865
A striking pair of monumental Georg Jensen Art Deco sterling silver candelabra, designed by Harald Nielsen in 1938. These exemplars stand as perhaps the tallest creations within the Jensen lineage, soaring to an impressive 30 1/4 inches (77cm) in height! The foundation features a substantial round disk accented with an oxidized rim. Ascending from this base are five seamless tubular silver arms, each meticulously hand-shaped by skilled silversmiths. Adorning each arm are removable sconces embellished with an array of art deco disc motifs, elegantly cradled by understated floral elements.
At the heart of each candelabra lies an intricate floral motif, a testament to the countless hours of meticulous handcrafting. The design exudes a timeless elegance, seamlessly blending the simplicity of Functionalist aesthetics with the opulence of Art Deco.
