Georg Jensen Large Sterling Silver Five-Light Candelabra 224

A pair of early, large sterling silver Georg Jensen five-light candelabra, design #224 by Johan Rohde, originally introduced in 1916. Each candelabrum features five elegant branches emerging from stylized leaves, with a striking finial of two intertwined fish resting upon a central sphere above a gracefully twisting bulb. The stem is adorned with horizontal beading and vertical lines overlaid with a Nordic-inspired pattern. These early examples exhibit an enormous amount of hand chasing, evident in their intricate and detailed craftsmanship.

Dimensions:

  • Height: 19 1/4″ (49 cm) to the top of the finial
  • Span: 13 3/4″ (35 cm)
  • Base Diameter: 7 7/8″ (20 cm)

Total Weight: 5446 grams (192 oz)
