Georg Jensen Ladby/Nordic Silverware Set

A Georg Jensen sterling silver flatware set, designed in 1937 by Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen, features the Art Deco Ladby/Nordic pattern (design #76). Known as “Nordic” in English, this pattern is distinctly inspired by Scandinavian design. The Danish name “Ladby” pays homage to Denmark’s only Viking ship burial, unearthed in 1935 at Ladbyhøj. Due to its limited production, this pattern is highly sought after by collectors.

The set includes six place settings, each containing eight pieces:

  • 6 x Dinner Forks: 7 1/8″ (18 cm)
  • 6 x Dinner Knives: 9″ (23 cm) with stainless steel blades
  • 6 x Dinner Spoons: 7 3/8″ (18.7 cm)
  • 6 x Luncheon/Salad Forks: 6 1/2″ (17 cm)
  • 6 x Luncheon Knives: 8 1/4″ (21 cm)
  • 6 x Dessert Spoons: 6 1/2″ (17 cm)
  • 6 x Cake Forks: 5 3/8″ (13.6 cm)
  • 6 x Teaspoons: 4 7/8″ (12.2 cm)

This set consists of 48 pieces, 43 pieces bear vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks dating from 1933 to 1944. Five pieces from 1945-1977.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
