Georg Jensen Grapes Bottle Coaster 229

An early sterling silver Georg Jensen “Grapes” bottle coaster with mahogany lining, design #229 by Georg Jensen from 1917. Decorated with an applied fruiting vine to the circular raised body with inset turned mahogany base.

Dimensions: Measures 2½” in height and 5 3/4″ in diameter (6.4cm, 14.5cm). Approximate gross weight 23.4oz (665g).

Hallmarks: Antique Georg Jensen hallmark, also marked with both Danish and English import hallmarks for 1922.
