Georg Jensen Extra-Large Sterling Silver “Louvre” Bowl 19C
An impressive and highly sought-after vintage Georg Jensen sterling silver centerpiece bowl or bucket, model #19C, designed in 1912. Known as the Louvre Bowl, this iconic piece was acquired by the Louvre Museum in Paris in 1914 for their permanent collection. The bowl features a subtly hammered texture with hand-chased etching along the rim, evoking the artistry of early Viking design. Its center is adorned with intricate leaf and floral motifs. This extra-large model, the “C” version, is perfect for use as a champagne or wine bucket or for displaying a grand floral arrangement.
