Georg Jensen Continental Silverware Service For Six

A vintage sterling silverware service for 6 in the Continental pattern, pattern #4 by Georg Jensen in 1906. This pattern marks Georg Jensen’s inaugural venture into silverware design. Inspired by the early Danish wooden spoons utilized by Danish laborers for tending to their animals and crops, Jensen’s design pays homage to simplicity. The intent was to spotlight the artisanal expertise through the prominent display of each hand-hammered mark.

This service includes six settings, each setting comprising of seven pieces.

The set is:

  • 6 dinner forks 7 3/8″ (18,5 cm)
  • 6 dinner knives 9 5/8″ (24,2cm)
  • 6 soup spoons 6 3/4″ (17cm)
  • 6 salad/fish forks 6 7/8″ (17,5cm)
  • 6 bouillon spoons 5 1/2″ (14cm)
  • 6 butter spreaders 5 3/4″ (15cm)
  • 6 dessert/grapefruit spoons 5 7/8″ (14,9cm)

42 pieces total.
