Georg Jensen Caravel Sterling Silverware Set

A complete vintage Georg Jensen sterling silverware service for twelve in the Caravel pattern, designed by Henning Koppel in 1957. Known for its modern, minimalist style, the Caravel pattern features clean lines and no embellishments. This 92-piece set includes several items no longer in production, offering a rare glimpse into the craftsmanship before Georg Jensen transitioned the production of this pattern outside Denmark. All pieces were carefully crafted in Denmark and feature the appropriate hallmarks.

The set includes:

  • 12 Dinner forks: 7 3/8″ (18.9 cm)
  • 12 Dinner knives: 8 5/8″ (22 cm)
  • 12 Dinner soup spoons: 7 5/8″ (19.4 cm)
  • 12 Luncheon/salad forks: 6 3/4″ (17.2 cm)
  • 12 Luncheon knives: 7 5/8″ (19.2 cm)
  • 12 Pastry forks: 5 5/8″ (14.3 cm)
  • 12 Teaspoons: 4 7/8″ (12.2 cm)

Serving pieces:

  • 2 Serving spoons: 8 1/2″ (22.8 cm)
  • 1 Sauce ladle: 7 1/4″ (18.5 cm)
  • 1 Cake server: 7 7/8″ (20 cm)
  • 1 Serving fork: 8 1/4″ (21 cm)
  • 2 Cold cut forks: 5 7/8″ (14.8 cm)
  • 1 Butter spreader: 6″ (15.4 cm)

Hallmarks: Early Georg Jensen Hallmarks used from 1945-1977 sterling Denmark.

Weight: Total weight including stainless blades 4825 grams (170,19 oz).

*The set includes new anti-tarnish felt storage bags. The set has been professionally polished by our Jensen trained silversmith.
