Georg Jensen Candelabrum 956 Henning Koppel

A sculptural sterling silver Georg Jensen three-light candelabra, design #956 by Henning Koppel from 1946.

This was Henning Koppel’s first hollowware design for Georg Jensen and was a radical departure in form and technique from anything they had produced before. The piece is an abstract sculpture, a departure from Georg Jensen’s traditional nouveau and deco designs.  The piece rests on four “feet”, the three candles are all at different heights.

• Dimensions: 7″ in length x 6″ across and 5″ in height (17cm x 14.5cm, 13cm).
• Weight: solid silver and very heavy, weighing 1124 grams (39.64 oz.)
• Hallmarks: Georg Jensen hallmarks H11 for 2006.
