Georg Jensen Bittersweet Sterling Silver Tomato/Pastry Server 206

Georg Jensen sterling silver and stainless steel tomato/pastry server, item 206 in the Bittersweet pattern, flatware design #79 by Gundorph Albertus from 1940. Bittersweet is the sister pattern to Albertus’ better known Cactus pattern, because of the war Bittersweet had a very limited production run and is extremely rare. Servers with steel serving parts are intended either for serving foods that are not compatible with silver (e.g. tomatoes which are acidic) or for added heat insulation when serving heated foods, such as warm pies/pastries etc.
Dimensions: Measures 7 7/8″ (20cm) in length.
Hallmarks: With Georg Jensen hallmark, made in Denmark.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
