Georg Jensen Art Nouveau 18K Gold & Pearl Bracelet, Design No. 251

An exceptionally beautiful and early Georg Jensen 18-karat gold bracelet with cultured pearls, design no. 251, dating from circa 1915.

The bracelet is a wonderful example of Georg Jensen’s early Art Nouveau design, composed of a series of richly sculpted floral and foliate links. Each flower is centered with a cultured pearl, creating an elegant contrast between the warm 18k gold and the soft lustre of the pearls. The articulated construction allows the bracelet to sit comfortably around the wrist while retaining the strong sculptural quality characteristic of Jensen’s earliest jewelry. Dating from the formative years of the Georg Jensen silversmithy, this is a particularly desirable example of the firm’s early gold jewelry. The bracelet retains its original design details and is accompanied by a fitted case.
