Georg Jensen Art Deco Lidded Caviar Bowl 499B

A rare and large Art Deco Georg Jensen Caviar bowl, design #499B by Harald Nielsen from 1927. The Caviar bowl of tapered circular form with removeable lid sits on a circular foot which can be removed. The inside of the bowl has a green enameling. A Georg Jensen curved #41 spoon accompanies with the bowl and rests perfectly in the slotted lid. This piece is of superior quality, very heavy with a lot of handcrafted detail.

• Dimensions: Caviar Bowl 5″ high x 7 1/2″ in diameter at the base (13cm, 19cm). Spoon #41, 5 1/2″ (14cm).
• Hallmarks: Early Georg Jensen 1933-1944 hallmarks, “Sterling Denmark”.
