Georg Jensen Antique Silver Bonbonniere Design #10

An antique rare and large Georg Jensen sterling silver lidded bonbonniere, jar or urn, design no. 10 by Georg Jensen, produced between 1908 and 1914. The lid is decorated with four stylized floral buds, each set with an amethyst cabochon. The body has an organic, rounded form with hand-chased floral decoration and stands on a circular foot with matching chased detail.

The detachable lid reflects the floral motifs of the body and is finely detailed with four raised floral buds, each inset with an amethyst stone.

This piece is considered museum quality, representing one of the earliest examples of Georg Jensen’s silverwork and among the first of this design to be produced.
