Georg Jensen Acorn Sterling Silverware Service, 12 Settings

A comprehensive sterling silverware service for twelve in the Acorn pattern by Georg Jensen. Designed by Johan Rohde in 1915, the Acorn pattern is widely acknowledged as one of Georg Jensen’s most beloved designs. The entire set has 1933-944 Georg Jensen hallmarks and was bought at the same time. The set comprises twelve place settings, each consisting of fourteen pieces. Notably, the set is enhanced by the inclusion of extra-large continental size dinner knives,  dinner forks and dinner spoons with the normal size dinner size used as luncheon (second course).

The set comprises of the following:

• 12 Extra-large Dinner forks, measuring 7 7/8″ (19.8cm).
• 12 Extra-large Dinner knives with short handles, measuring 9 3/4″ (25cm).
• 6 Extra-large Dinner spoons 8″ (20cm).
• 12 Dinner spoons 7 5/8″ (19,2 cm).
• 12 Dinner forks 7 3/8″ (18,74 cm). “Used as luncheon.
• 12 Dinner knives 9 1/8″ (23.3cm). “Used as luncheon.
• 12 Dessert spoons 6 7/8″ (17.3cm).
• 12 Salad forks, measuring 6 5/8″ (16.7cm).
• 12 Iced teaspoons/cafe latte spoons 7 1/4″ (18.3cm).
• 12 oyster forks 5 ¾” (14,60cm).
• 12 butter spreaders 5 7/8” (14,9cm).
• 12 Bouillon spoons, measuring 5 1/4″ (13cm).
• 24 large teaspoons (used for dessert and teaspoons) 5 ¾” (14,60cm).
• 12 coffee spoons 4 5/8” (11,6 cm).

Serving pieces:

• 1 sauce ladle 8” (20cm).
• 1 cream ladle 5 ½” (14cm). 
• 2 cold cut forks 6 ½” (16,5cm). 
• 1 jam spoon 5 7/8” (14,9 cm).
• 2  bottle openers 4 ½” (11,4cm).
