Extremely Rare Georg Jensen Art Deco Candelabra 800

A pair of large sterling silver Georg Jensen four-light candelabra, design #800 by Harald Nielsen from 1936. Exceptionally elegant in design and made with the highest quality of handcraftsmanship.  A large oval base holding a wave like shaped center with four mounted candleholders. Seen from above, the four candle holders form a square mounted on an oval base, wonderful Art Deco geometric patterns. Very few pairs of this four armed candelabra were ever made, and to the best of our knowledge they are not pictured in any of the published Georg Jensen books.

Dimensions: Each measures 11 3/8″ length x 7 5/8″ width x 9″ high (29cm x 19.5cm, 22.8cm). Weight: a very heavy combined weight of 178.09oz (5,049g).

Hallmarks: Both with matching Georg Jensen hallmarks used between 1933-1944, these hallmarks are the earliest possible for this design.
