Extremely Rare Frantz Hingelberg Teapot

This is an extremely rare sterling silver F. Hingelberg teapot with ivory handle and finial, design from 1954 by Svend Weihrauch.

Measures 9½” in length including handle and spout, 3½” in height and 4½” across (25cm, 9cm, 12cm).

Hallmarked “Sterling Denmark F. HINGELBERG AARHUS 925S”, there is a crown above the F. Hingelberg mark, denoting that they were purveyors to the Royal Danish Court, these hallmarks were used from 1948-1971.

There is a drawing of this design on page 172 of the book “Svend Weihrauch Sølv 1928-1956 Silber” by Jörg Schwandt published for an exhibition at Koldinghus Museum in 1998.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
