Extra Large Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Inkstand By Johan Rohde

An early and large Georg Jensen sterling silver Inkstand, designed by Johan Rohde. Rectangular with a scroll edge border, set with a square domed cover and finial which resembles the acorn pattern. The pot with a detachable glass insert and silver funnel. Underneath a Danish engraving ” Fra Nordisk Gjenforsikrings Selskab, Den 24 September 1934″. Not marked with design number, this piece does not appear in the Jensen catalogues, this is presumably a special order.

Dimensions:  12 1/4″ x 7 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ to the top of the finial (30.8cm x 19.3cm x 11.5cm). Weight: 64.35oz (1,825g).

Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen hallmark from 1933-1944.
