Extensive Danish Handcrafted Sterling Silver Tea Service

This impressive tea service was designed and handcrafted by the late Erik Sjodahl (Sjødahl), renowned as one of the greatest Danish silversmiths of the past century. Without a doubt, this is one of the most extensive modern tea services we have owned since we began selling Danish silver in 1999. Words and descriptions alone cannot fully convey the detail, craftsmanship, and design of this exceptionally rare tea service.

Comprising fourteen individual pieces, this set is truly astonishing. The teapot, which uniquely opens by turning the handle, showcases a feature only achievable by one of the world’s finest silversmiths. A hook is ingeniously designed to hang the tea egg snugly within the teapot’s opening. Additionally, the teapot, coffee pot, and lemon jug are accompanied by silver trays with removable, hand-spun ebony wood inserts, acting as effective insulators.

The set includes:

  • Teapot with ebony handle and base, with tray featuring a removable ebony wood (heat insulator)  – Dimensions: 9 1/2″ (24cm) H x 8″ (20cm) L x 4 1/2″ (11.5cm) W
