Early Pair of Mid-Century Georg Jensen Candelabra 956 Henning Koppel
An early vintage pair of sculptural sterling silver Georg Jensen three-light candelabra, design #956 by Henning Koppel from 1946.
This was Henning Koppel’s first hollowware design for Georg Jensen and was a radical departure in form and technique from anything they had produced before. The piece is an abstract sculpture, a departure from Georg Jensen’s traditional nouveau and deco designs. The piece rests on four “feet”, the three candles are all at different heights.
