Early Georg Jensen Teapot 33

Very early and rare Georg Jensen silver teapot, design #33 by Georg Jensen from circa 1912. Ornate and early Art Nouveau design with signs of the Arts and Crafts period. This teapot represents months of craftsmanship, there is likely more hours in chasing on this service than the hammering which is all hand done. This teapot has a lightly hammered very organic shape, the handle resembles a floral column attached to architectural beams that have a very Nordic or viking feel. There are four slim pieces of ivory inserted between the top and bottom of the handle for heat insulation.

Measures 6 3/4″ in height, approximate diameter  5½” (17cm x 14.5cm), weighs 24.69oz (700g).

Marked underneath with vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks and date stamped 1919, 830S.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
